Desert Oasis Healthcare Celebrates “The Power of Nurses" During Nurses Week May 6th-May 12th

May 05, 2025 – Palm Springs, CA)
Desert Oasis Healthcare (DOHC) is proud to honor “The Power of Nurses” by celebrating the incredible dedication and compassion of our nurses during National Nurses Week with a full slate of celebrations and public tributes throughout the Coachella Valley.

DOHC will distribute custom-designed Nurses Day buttons to patients and staff at each campus who want to show their appreciation and support. To further celebrate, DOHC will share daily social media posts all week long across Facebook and Instagram spotlighting the contributions of nurses across our organization. Additionally, the MyDOHC.com website will feature a rotating banner honoring our nurses throughout the week. Because appreciation tastes better with a treat, each DOHC campus will receive fresh coffee, donuts, and lunch - a small gesture to brighten the day of our nursing teams.

“Nurses are often the first to listen, the first to act, and the first to comfort. The power of nurses lies in their ability to lead with compassion, and we’re proud of the work they do and the way they do it,” said Marc Hoffing, MD, Medical Director Desert Oasis Healthcare.

Nurses Day is celebrated annually on May 6 as part of National Nurses Week, which concludes on May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, who is widely recognized as the founder of modern nursing.
