Health Education Programs
Turn to Desert Oasis Healthcare's PHARxM™ Population Health and Prescription Management department for free health education services for our members. The classes we offer are a combination of teaching activities, fun games and some homework. All classes are 2 hours or less. Some of our classes are one session only, while others are 1-2 sessions per week for 4 consecutive weeks.

Preventing Falls: Two Good Exercises

Class Info

We’ll teach you how to control your diabetes with diet and exercise, combined with home testing and medications. Questions are encouraged, so tell us about your health. We also offer individual counseling with a Certified Diabetic Educator. For 1:1 Diabetes counseling, a referral is required. Also available in Spanish.

Nutrition plays an important role in controlling diabetes and our Registered Dietitian can help -- with tips for healthy eating, nutrition-related diseases, and more. We even provide counseling to those under the age of 18.

Sweet Success/Gestational Diabetes
Class Info

Diabetes is a complication that affects 7-14% of pregnant women. Our Sweet Success Program, through one-on-one counseling with a Certified Health Educator, seeks to help manage gestational diabetes, so you can have a healthy baby. The program promotes and improves pregnancy outcomes for high-risk pregnant women with pre-existing diabetes and women who develop diabetes while pregnant.
