About the Provider

Following pre-med and post-graduate studies on the east coast, Dr. Cohen went abroad for his medical degree in Belgium, deepening his understanding of three other languages, in addition to his native English. After medical school, he completed a rotating internship, covering Pediatrics, Obstetrics-Gynecology, Surgery, and Internal Medicine, at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Returning stateside, Dr. Cohen completed a year-long internship in Pediatrics at Maricopa County General Hospital in Phoenix. From there, he did a Pediatric Residency for a year with the Phoenix Hospitals Affiliated Pediatric Program, followed by a year with the Los Angeles County- University of Southern California Medical Center. He remained at LA County- USC Medical Center for a fellowship in Pediatric Neurology.

As a practicing pediatrician for many years, Dr. Cohen has found great reward in watching so many children grow up to become happy and healthy, as he's helped them through the illnesses and difficulties of any childhood. He says, "The best advice I can give is to focus on proper nutrition, exercise regularly, and to be happy!"

Dr. Cohen has also helped future doctors benefit from his expertise by serving on the clinical faculty of the University of California, Irvine, as a Clinical Instructor in Pediatrics. With a loving wife and three adult children of his own, Dr. Cohen enjoys as much family time as possible whether that's on trips, playing golf or tennis, watching the LA Dodgers, or just relaxing with a movie or a bit of music.

Después de haber realizado sus estudios de curso introductorio a la medicina y estudios de posgrado en la costa este, el Dr. Cohen se trasladó al extranjero para obtener su grado médico en Bélgica, con lo que amplió su comprensión de otros tres idiomas, además de su lengua materna, el inglés. El Dr. Cohen también les ha ayudado a futuros doctores a beneficiarse de su experiencia ya que sirve en el cuerpo docente de University of California, en Irvine, como instructor clínico en pediatría. Con una esposa amorosa y tres hijos adultos, el Dr. Cohen disfruta el mayor tiempo posible en familia, ya sea viajando, jugando tenis o golf, viendo jugar a los Dodgers de Los Ángeles, o simplemente relajarse con una película o un poco de música.
