Lawrence Mora, MD

Dr. Lawrence Mora is a board-certified family physician who brings more than two decades of experience to Desert Oasis Healthcare. Known for his compassionate, full-spectrum approach, Dr. Mora believes in caring for the entire family—patients of all ages—through every stage of life. His philosophy is simple yet powerful: “Treat the entire family,” emphasizing continuity, trust, and comprehensive care as the foundation of better health.

Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Dr. Mora discovered his passion for medicine early while working as a phlebotomist and later as a medical technologist. These early experiences gave him firsthand insight into the vital role healthcare professionals play in people’s lives, and inspired his pursuit of family medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and completed his residency in Family and Community Medicine at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston.

Throughout his career, Dr. Mora has built a reputation for listening carefully, forming meaningful relationships, and guiding patients toward long-term wellness—both physically and mentally. For him, the most rewarding part of patient care is helping people achieve good health and seeing them thrive. His advice is practical and heartfelt: “Pay more attention to your health.”

Outside the office, Dr. Mora enjoys photography, traveling, and watching movies. He’s also a proud dog owner and enjoys spending his free time exploring new experiences with his loyal pup, Asner.
