Paul Herrera-Ramirez is an accomplished Physician Assistant with more than 24 years of distinguished service in the United States Air Force Medical Service. Throughout his military career, he served as a Primary Care Provider and Flight Commander, leading clinical teams while upholding the highest standards of patient care. His extensive experience includes multiple deployments to combat zones and participation in humanitarian missions around the world.

Paul was selected to serve in the prestigious White House Medical Unit under two presidential administrations, where he provided direct medical care to the President, Vice President, and their families—an honor that reflects both his clinical excellence and trusted leadership.

A native of the Coachella Valley, Paul returned home following his military service to continue caring for the community that shaped him. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and earned his Doctor of Medical Science degree from the University of Lynchburg.

Known for his compassionate, patient-centered approach, Paul believes strongly in treating every individual with care, dignity, and respect. He is deeply motivated by helping patients better understand their health and empowering them to take an active role in their well-being.

Outside of medicine, Paul enjoys hiking and camping with his three sons. He is proud to be part of the Desert Oasis Healthcare team, where he continues to serve as a leader in internal medicine, providing thoughtful, evidence-based care to patients throughout the Coachella Valley.

Paul Herrera-Ramírez es un Asistente Médico con más de 24 años de distinguida trayectoria en el Servicio Médico de la Fuerza Aérea de los Estados Unidos. Durante su carrera militar, se desempeñó como proveedor de atención primaria y comandante de escuadrón, liderando equipos clínicos y garantizando los más altos estándares de atención al paciente. Su amplia experiencia incluye múltiples despliegues en zonas de combate y participación en misiones humanitarias alrededor del mundo.

Paul fue seleccionado para servir en la prestigiosa Unidad Médica de la Casa Blanca durante dos administraciones presidenciales, donde brindó atención médica directa al Presidente, al Vicepresidente y a sus familias—un reconocimiento a su excelencia clínica y liderazgo.

Originario del Valle de Coachella, Paul regresó a sus raíces tras finalizar su servicio militar para continuar atendiendo a su comunidad. Obtuvo su Licenciatura en Ciencias y su Maestría en Estudios de Asistente Médico en el Centro Médico de la Universidad de Nebraska, y obtuvo su Doctorado en Ciencias Médicas por la Universidad de Lynchburg.

Paul es conocido por su enfoque compasivo y centrado en el paciente, y cree firmemente en tratar a cada persona con respeto, dignidad y cuidado. Le apasiona educar a sus pacientes sobre su salud y ayudarles a participar activamente en su bienestar.

Fuera del entorno clínico, Paul disfruta del senderismo y de acampar con sus tres hijos.
