The 2026–2027 flu vaccine has been updated to better match the influenza viruses expected to circulate this season. All three components of the U.S. seasonal flu vaccine were updated, including the H3N2 component following the emergence of H3N2 subclade K during the 2025–2026 flu season.

It is strongly recommended to get the flu shot to prevent the spread of flu and lessen the potential impact on the already over-stretched healthcare system. This is prevention 101 – we want staff and DOHC members to get the flu shot. The CDC recommends that people ages 6 months and older get a flu vaccine, ideally by the end of October. Even if you wait until after October, the vaccine will still be beneficial and provide protection
We have to do all we can. Just as with COVID, masks help, social distancing helps, cleaning hands frequently helps – but getting the vaccine is critical.
For ALL flu vaccine locations, appointments are NOT necessary.
Drive-Thru Flu Clinics
1. Are Drive-Thru flu clinics available?
Answer: YES – but only at the PALM SPRINGS DOHC campus. It will be set up conveniently in the in the parking lot and is a fast way to receive your flu vaccine, without having to leave your car!
2. When does the drive-thru clinic start?
Answer: Thursday, September 10, 2026
3. What are the hours for the drive-thru flu clinic?
Answer: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday.
4. What are the hours for the Walk-In Flu Clinics?
Answer: Walk-In Flu Clinic Locations and Hours:
Starting September 10, 2026. Please view each location below:
- Bermuda Dunes 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday *Closed for Lunch* 12 PM - 1PM
- Yucca Valley 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday *Closed for Lunch* 12 PM - 1 PM
- ALL DOHC Primary Care Doctors (PCP), Wellness Clinic & Immediate Care Centers (IC’s) will have flu vaccines available.
5. What about Pediatrics?
Answer: Yes! We have exclusive dates for our working families who would like to visit our walk-in clinics. *please see flyer*
6. Who should get the flu shot?
Answer: Everyone. We also want to ensure that those most at risk/venerable are seen and can easily access their flu shots. That is why we have carefully designed our clinics to meet the needs of everyone within the community!
